Every university is different, which is why there are multiple ways to get involved with the EF Hult Prize. Whether you're ready to host a full competition, already have an entrepreneurship event, or simply want to support your most promising startups, there's an option that fits your capacity and goals.
Host a local competition
Best for: Universities that want their students to compete on campus and earn a direct pathway to the next stage of the EF Hult Prize.
As a participating university, you'll appoint a point of contact (POC) to work closely with the EF Hult Prize team, organize a local competition with at least three judges and five teams (each made up of 2-4 students), and report your winning team through the community portal within 72 hours.
This option provides the most engaging on-campus experience while ensuring your top team advances to the next stage. Learn more on how to host a local competition here.
Add EF Hult Prize to an existing pitch competition
Best for: Universities that already host entrepreneurship or startup competitions.
Rather than creating a new event, you can integrate the EF Hult Prize as a dedicated competition track. This allows your winning team to gain international exposure and qualify for the EF Hult Prize Nationals.
Approval from your EF Hult Prize regional manager is required, participating teams must meet EF Hult Prize eligibility requirements, startups must register by 15 February 2026, and winners must complete their application by 28 February 2026
Promote the open application
Best for: Universities that don't plan to host an event but still want to support outstanding student and alumni entrepreneurs.
Simply encourage your strongest startups to apply through the EF Hult Prize online application. No live pitching is required, applications are reviewed directly by the EF Hult Prize selection committee.
Your role is to promote the opportunity across your student and alumni networks and encourage eligible teams to apply before the deadline.
