Serving as a campus director is an opportunity to lead one of the most fulfilling student experiences at your university. Campus directors act as community builders, event organizers, and ambassadors for EF Hult Prize, bringing students together around entrepreneurship, innovation, and social impact. Throughout the program, they collaborate with peers, recruit participants, coordinate activations, and help create an environment where bold ideas can thrive.

Some of the main responsibilities of a campus director are:

• Host your local competition 
  • The local competition is your primary goal and the most significant initiative you prepare. This competition is the core focus of your campus program, where teams from your university compete for a spot in the next phase of the EF Hult Prize Competition.
• Build your support network 
  • You have the flexibility to choose between recruiting an organizing committee or seeking support from your University; or ideally, pursuing both options. Learn more about organizing committee and their roles here.
• Ensure program continuity
  • As the final step of your program, after submitting your local competition report, you'll need to ensure the EF Hult Prize continues at your university by either keeping your position as a campus director or nominating a successor. Read more on how to do this successfully.
• Leadership and strategic planning
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the campus program. Lead, motivate, and manage the organizing committee to ensure alignment with the program’s goals. Set and monitor specific goals for the team and the program, in alignment with the organizing committee.
• Program management
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all campus events and activities. Ensure all activities are completed on time and within scope. Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, time, and team members.
• Stakeholder engagement
  • Act as the primary liaison between the EF Hult Prize campus program and the university administration, by establishing and maintain a strong relationship with a university representative who can provide support, resources, and advocacy for the EF Hult Prize initiatives. 
• Participant support
  • Oversee the recruitment of participants, ensuring a diverse and dynamic group. Ensure participants have access to necessary resources, training, and mentorship. Collect and act on feedback from participants to continuously improve the program.
• Communication and reporting
  • Ensure effective internal communication within the organizing committee and be aligned with the EF Hult Prize global guidelines, ensuring that all updates, guidelines, and deadlines are communicated to your team, keeping everyone informed and aligned. Update regularly the community portal, reporting the program progress.
