This campus program timeline should be used as a flexible guide designed to help you plan and host your program with confidence. It provides structure and direction, and would especially be helpful if it’s your first time running a campus program, while still leaving room to adapt to your context, local community and creativity!
Week 1 to week 3: Form your team & get your university support
- Having an organizing committee gives you extra hands to manage logistics, communications, and outreach, making your job easier and the program stronger.
- Securing university support adds credibility, visibility, and access to facilities and resources.
- Combining both ensures that your campus program is well-supported, organized and resourced from the start.
Week 3 to week 5: Plan your events and local competition
- A clear event plan helps you stay organized and gives participants enough time to prepare.
- Beyond the local competition, you can also plan to host a variety of activities, such as tabling events, info sessions, trainings, demo days, mentoring sessions or networking opportunities to engage your community and prepare teams for success.
- These events help build momentum, train your teams, a long-lasting community and create an engaging experience for your community.
Week 5 onwards: Engage stakeholders and leverage resources
- Recruiting and engaging teams early on and involving stakeholders, such as judges & experts, sponsors & partners will not only enriches the experience for participants but also raises the visibility and credibility of your program.
- EF Hult Prize provides you with valuable resources and opportunities, such as our knowledgebase and ready-to-use marketing materials, giving you tools to deliver high-quality events without having to start from scratch or additional training!
By February 15: Execute your local competition
- This milestone includes reporting the outcome of your local competition and ensuring winners and runners-up submit their submissions keeps them eligible for the next round and highlights your leadership within the global network.
- Please ensure that your community profile is up-to-date to strengthen visibility and showcases your achievements.
By February 28: Report and celebrate
- Once you've reported your local competition, you will need to complete your continuity form on the EF Hult Prize community portal by either requesting to continue as campus director or nominating a successor to finalize your campus program and to ensure program continuity.
- Now it's time to celebrate! Completing the campus program is an incredible achievement. You’ve done amazing, and we encourage you to share this milestone with everyone who made it possible. We're so proud of you!
